SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Supervisor position conducts warehouse activities to facilitate quality services and products to Peckham’s internal and external customers. . This position may require the employee on occasion to work shifts when not normally scheduled, including weekends.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Conduct daily download of data from Government Website into Warehouse Management system (WMS)
- Ensure that all receipts are posted within 1 business day
- Travel to warehouse area to check on work being done
- Conduct any search to locate products within the system
- Assist in storage and distribution activities
- Contact customers, as needed
- Update customers, as requested, with daily Shipping/Receiving details
- Lead a team and provide guidance to all Peckham policies and procedures
- Supervise the service center representative team by helping with training and development, coaching, counseling, and performance management
- Communicate with Vocational Services Specialists (VSS) on discipline steps and corrective actions, when necessary
- Work with Vocational Services Specialist (VSS) and key internal stakeholders, when necessary
OTHER DUTIES:
- Assist in ensuring the product is shipped, distributed, stored, and received in an efficient manner
- Ensure trucks are unloaded within 1 hour of docking
- Maintain and update inventory records
- Open and close building
- Build and maintain relationships with internal partners and stakeholders
- Direct and assign work as appropriate
- Train, coach, and adapt to the needs of the team
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Promote Peckham’s vision, values, and services to all customers and stakeholders
- Assist in maintaining organization-wide quality standards
- Attend meetings as needed
- Miscellaneous related duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises a team of people with disabilities and/or other barriers to employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
- 6 months – 1-year experience in a supervisor or team lead capacity
- Pass and maintain a successful background check
- Must meet Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Association (MIOSHA) requirements to acquire a forklift license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity or ability to learn Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to learn various computer systems, including OnTime and Workday
- General understanding of the Warehouse Management System
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
