The Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority (LEPFA) is seeking an experience and motivated leader who pursues a unique position in an industry that thrives on being fast paced and enjoyable.

The Vice President of Finance is responsible for the general administration, management, coordination and supervision of the daily activities and long-term planning for the Accounting Manager, Finance Department and the financial operations of all the facilities and events sponsored and/or managed by the Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority (LEPFA).

 

The Vice President of Finance is responsible for the overall planning, organization, and implementation of all business/finance operations of the LEPFA; including payroll, financial administration of employee benefits, contract administration, administration of the LEPFA’s information technology systems, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, budgeting, banking, insurance, and administration of the annual audit.

 

In addition, the Vice President of Finance shall be responsible for the development and implementation of LEPFA administrative financial policies and procedures designed to promote efficiency of operation and quality of service.

 

This position reports directly to the President & CEO of LEPFA. LEPFA is an authority contracted to manage the City of Lansing’s entertainment and meeting venues in downtown Lansing. Our mission is to provide professional management toward the administration, operation, marketing and maintenance of the Lansing Center, Jackson Field, and Groesbeck Golf Course as well as other community/regional interest events. By providing safe environments and developing strong relationships with our diverse clients, sponsors and business neighbors, we serve as a catalyst to enhance both local and regional economic growth.

 

Graduation from an accredited four year college/university with a degree in Business/Accounting or related is field is required. Management experience of 5+ years in progressively responsible environment of accounting and financial management of business operations; experience derived from working in a meeting/convention/conference center, stadium, arena, or hospitality field is considered an advantage. GAAP and governmental accounting procedures experience is preferred.
