Presented by artists Christine Beals and Michelle Detering, Birds of a Feather is a contemporary exploration of avian creatures in the natural world. Through their respective mediums, both artists depict birds as subjects worthy of dedicated study, and place careful emphasis on their presentation of shape, color, and form. Whether at rest or in flight, every piece selected for this exhibition strives to capture an intimate portrait, allowing the viewer to explore the many possible interpretations behind each winged creature’s strength, beauty, and vulnerability.

This exhibition will be on display at Nelson Gallery through October 31, 2026. An opening reception will be held on September 10th.
