Attention Ingham, Jackson, Lenawee, Hillsdale, Eaton, and Clinton County businesses currently involved in Defense contracting.

Please join the Office of Defense and Aerospace Innovation, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and South Central APEX Accelerator for a Townhall to learn more about available opportunities and resources. Leading the discussion will be Col. John T. Gutierrez, USMC (Ret.), Executive Director for the new Office of Defense and Aerospace Innovation (ODAI). The Office of Defense and Aerospace Innovation launched in April of 2024, to build on the work of the Michigan Defense Center. ODAI has a clear mission—to bolster Michigan’s defense and aerospace sectors. Their approach involves fostering business to excel within these markets, highlighting the states unique advantages, and setting conditions to propel innovation toward unparalleled growth. This Townhall will be part of ODAI’s outreach program, as they inform local stakeholders of the opportunities and resources available to Michigan’s defense and aerospace suppliers.
