Opening reception: March 20, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.

Like a field guide to previously undiscovered corners of the universe, Steph Joy Hogan's “Scrapscapes" series features mixed-media snapshots of imaginary worlds and the whimsical flora and fauna that inhabit them. Each piece shares a unique story, brought to life in layers of acrylic paint, ink, and found paper ephemera (including maps, book pages, and other discarded print material) with the intention of fueling your imagination. Steph's art practice is inspired by the unbridled imaginations of children, with space exploration as a common theme, representing both hope and a longing for connection.
