Speaker Series: Cory Richards - National Geographic Photographer, Adventurer, Author, and Mental Health Advocate
Thursday, May 7, 2026 (10:30 AM - 2:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
On Thursday, May 7, the Peckham Community Partnership Foundation will host its Spring Speaker Series featuring Cory Richards. Cory Richards is a world-renowned National Geographic photographer and the first American to summit an 8,000-meter peak in winter. But his most powerful story isn’t about the summits—it’s about what nearly broke him: bipolar disorder, addiction, and a near suicide. Join us as Cory shares his powerful story of resilience, recovery and reinvention.
Cory will deliver two DIFFERENT sessions, a morning and afternoon. Both sessions will be available in-person and virtually, and we strongly encourage Michigan-based folks to ATTEND IN-PERSON for a more engaging, in-the-room, experience. Bring your team!
Morning Session, 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. – “Breaking the Story of Broken – Mental Health, Performance & Truth”
Afternoon Session, 2 to 3:15 p.m. “A Fireside Q&A Style Conversation”
