Behind the Scenes Tour: MSU Recycling Center, Surplus Store and Vermicompost – How MSU Manages Waste as A Resource! Join us for this tour to see how MSU collects and processes over 25 million pounds of material annually. We will tour the Surplus Store, learn about online sales, better understand electronic waste processing and data security, and see the Material Recovery Facility (where recycling is sorted) including MSU’s robotic sorter. Weather permitting we will also walk outside to see MSU’s vermicompost operation where we can meet our team of over 1 million worms that eat our food waste.
