Our assumptions and beliefs shape our interpersonal interactions in the workplace about individuals and groups in society. The stereotypes and biases that we bring to the workplace often operate in unconscious ways and can cause unintended harm to colleagues. Certain mindsets and behaviors can also negatively impact workplace relationships, organizational processes, and even worker productivity.
During this workshop, participants will enhance their awareness and understanding of bias in the workplace and how biases manifest as microaggressions and macroaggressions. Participants will understand how to recognize their own biases and learn strategies to eliminate biases in organizations. The workshop will explore critical self-reflection and provide strategies for action that support equity and inclusion in the workplace.
