Family owned since 1966, Granger provides and manages sustainable environmental solutions across Michigan. We take great pride in our reputation for quality in the communities we serve. Granger is seeking a sales manager to join our talented sales team.
The sales manager is responsible for leading sales efforts across all regions by mentoring and coaching the sales team. The individual in this position will also play a key role in customer service, exploring potential new target markets and representing Granger as the #1 independent provider of waste and recycling services in every region we serve.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with the director of sales to define departmental objectives based on Granger's strategic plan
- Regularly meet with sales team to monitor successes and address obstacles
- Provide ongoing training and coaching for successful sales and relationships
- Ensure team is effectively managing customer and community relationships to retain and gain sales and brand loyalty
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve the sales process
- Maintain broad industry knowledge to guarantee effective and profitable sales
- Effectively communicate with customers as needed
- Directly manage specific large commercial customer accounts
- Collaborate with the operations teams to attain customer growth and retention
- Work with the safety team to ensure the safety of our people is a priority in sales and service decisions
What We Are Looking For
If you are a team builder, servant leader, sales coach and possess the following, we want to meet with you!
- Bachelor’s degree in business/sales related field
- 5+ years’ sales experience with a proven record of significant sales growth, waste industry sales strongly preferred
- 3+ years’ experience managing a successful sales team strongly preferred
- Experience with best practices in top performing sales cultures
- Strong data management, mathematical, financial and reporting skills
- Strong Microsoft skills, including Teams, Excel and OneNote
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
