Webinar: Intro to Sports Psychology in the NIL Era

Friday, April 24, 2026 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

This webinar, Sport Psychology and the NIL Era 101, introduces foundational principles of sport psychology and evidence-based practices that Mr. Lindsay W. Huddleston II, MS of Sport Psychology Solutions uses when working with high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. The session will also introduce the concept of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) and explore its emerging effects on the mental health and well-being of college athletes. Participants will learn about how psychological skills such as goal setting, imagery, arousal regulation, and attention management apply to performance contexts and how the evolving NIL landscape introduces new pressures and responsibilities for athletes’ mental wellness and identity.

This webinar aligns with beginning-level academic expectations by introducing learners to a content area — sport psychology and NIL impacts — with structured, accessible information about key conditions, treatment methods, and issues. Attendees will be guided in comprehending underlying psychological principles, the nature of performance-related stress, and the contemporary NIL environment, which meets introductory educational criteria by fostering foundational knowledge and comprehension of emerging psychological challenges in sport.
