NIL 101: Education, Empowerment & Economic Impact
Lindsay W. Huddleston II , Owner & CEO, Sports Psychology Solutions
This foundational session will provide a clear, comprehensive overview of the NIL landscape and its implications for local businesses. Attendees will learn how to legally and strategically engage with high school and college athletes, support community development, and align NIL efforts with their brand values. The conversation will be practical, engaging, and tailored to Lansing-area businesses ready to lead with purpose.
Three Key Takeaways:
- NIL Fundamentals – What NIL is, who it affects, and how to engage ethically and effectively.
- Local Business Opportunities – How NIL partnerships can support brand visibility, mentorship, and youth development — including direct engagement opportunities with high profile athletes at events like this summer's Moneyball Pro-Am at Holt High School.
- Best Practices & Compliance – Policy insights, legal considerations, and strategies to build meaningful, mission-aligned partnerships.
